When Your Tastes Change

Steve Harmon won’t drink my coffee. The first time he had a cup I made, I think his reaction was…

“Are you trying to kill me?”

I admit, I like it kinda strong. And without cream or sugar. But it wasn’t always so. I didn’t start drinking coffee until I was in my 30s. Before that, I just didn’t get it. But, when I turned 30, something in me changed.
The beginning of the Christian life in us is when something changes. It is sometimes a lightning strike change, sometimes a slow evolution over months and years, but our journey in Christ is just that – a journey. If the scenery around us, and what is inside us – never changes, it is time for some close inspection.
This Sunday the sermon “When Your Tastes Change” examines just this phenomenon. Romans 6:1-11 and Matthew 10:32-42 will be our texts for the day.
