So, what happens when the winds blow, the waters rise and you begin the walk into the Valley of the Shadow? Is it everyone for themselves? Is everything that considers others out the window when the fight to survive comes, whether the threat is from rising storm surge or the weight of daily stress?
This Sunday, we will look at two remarkable passages of scripture – Matthew 16:21-28 and Romans 12:9-21 as we think about the revolution Christianity has made in how we think of ourselves in relation to others in good times and in bad.
