Social Justice

Our next Social Justice Wednesday will be on October 19. After dinner (don’t forget to sign up!), Dr. Sarah Scarbrough, from the Justice Center in RVA will lead the discussion on various topics.

In our tradition, we embrace that one of the great purposes of the Church is the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world. The Nurture and Discipleship Team is excited to announce a series of talks called “Social Justice Wednesdays.” Each third Wednesday of the month, the N&D team will present a matter of concern to our society and congregation looked at through the lens of Christian faith.

Each Social Justice Wednesday begins with dinner at 6:00 p.m. with a seminar and discussion to follow at 6:30 pm. Plan to attend and join us as we explore the topic of social justice. Dinner will be $6 per person and you can call the office @ 804-730-9700 to place a reservation or signup online here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0f48acac2bab9-social
