“Food for Thought” Sunday and Celtic Service

We hope you will join us on Sunday (January 4) at 9:30 a.m., as we offer our worship to God using the style, liturgy and prayers of the Celtic tradition. Robert Johnson, our Pastor, will offer his testimony as part of this service.

We call the first Sunday of each month “Food for Thought” Sunday, because it is the designated service for collecting food items for local organizations that need food to help men, women, and children in need. Please bring food items that are needed by the Mechanicsville Churches Emergency Functions (MCEF) and Shepherd’s Way Relief Center (SWRC) and drop them in the donation boxes in our Narthex.

MCEF – Their featured needs for January are applesauce (23-24 oz. jars), soups (all varieties), beans (all varieties except black beans), rice (small bags), and jelly.

SWRC – Their food pantry is in need of peanut butter, Vienna sausages, instant soup bowls, canned ravioli, crackers, etc.   The featured needs for January are Sugar & Creamer Packets.
