We call the first Sunday of each month “Food for Thought” Sunday, because it is the designated service for collecting food items and monetary donations for local organizations that need food to help men, women, and children in need. Through our Mission Team, we support Mechanicsville Churches Emergency Functions (MCEF) and Shepherd’s Way Relief Center (SWRC).

MCEF – MCEF is accepting monetary donations, as well as food and other items. These can be made through your church contributions (designate MCEF) or through the MCEF website. https://www.4mcef.com/ . Click here for a list of their needs.

SWRC –  At this time SWRC is only accepting monetary donations. Plans are to move to a new location, and for the short term, money is what they need. Once they get moved, we will commence collecting food items for them. You may donate thru our church or click here to donate directly to SWRC.

Please drop off  items for MCEF at our church office from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday- Friday. Or bring them on Sunday mornings!
