Being a Christian, said a former moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA), is caring about everything all of the time.

A tall order, but true!

We are a small part of the world-wide church, the Body of Christ. Just as every part of our physical bodies must care about the health and well-being of the other parts of the body, so we too are called to care about the parts of the body we are close to, and those that we may never see. And that care must go on year `round, because the needs never stop.

Today it is “Cheerful Giver Sunday” and we reminded ourselves what our the things we give mean to others (as well as where everything we have comes from). We looked at a letter the Apostle Paul wrote to remind the church at Corinth of the importance of their giving, and we listened in. Look at 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 and Mark 11:12-24 to spark your thinking.
