Project Pie

Project Pie is Back

Eat Pie and Do Good!

Project Pie provides a sweet (and savory) way to support one of our mission partners this year.  With every bite of holiday pie, you can know you are contributing in a meaningful way to an important project in Haiti. Read on…

Tracey Sigmon and her kitchen crew are baking a selection of sweet and savory pies just in time for your holiday celebrations.  Which ones will you choose?

  • Pecan Pie-This southern favorite is chock-full of pecans and sweetened with sugar and honey. Perfect served warm with a dollop of melting vanilla ice cream.
  • Pumpkin with Walnut Streusel-Not your typical pumpkin pie! Each bite is a taste of fall with rich pumpkin spice on the inside and the crunch of brown sugar and walnuts on top.
  • Bacon and Swiss Quiche-The perfect no-cook dinner the night before Thanksgiving for busy cooks or maybe Christmas brunch! This savory pie filled with melty cheese and the salty sweetness of bacon is the definition of comfort food.

All pies are a generous 9-inch and will be frozen at pick-up to ensure they are at the peak of freshness for your holiday celebration.  A minimum donation of $30 per pie is requested, which is a bargain compared to other custom-made pies from area bakeries.   And Project Pies don’t just taste good, they do good!  Each pie you buy brings us closer to reaching our goal of spreading God’s love and hope to many who live with hopelessness and despair.

This year, we are partnering with Haiti Outreach Ministries to create a technology-based Bible college in HOM’s facilities. A gift of $20,000 would equip a facility where professors from around the world could electronically teach Haitians about their faith, encouraging them in their ministries of reconciliation, mercy and transformation.  A technology-based Bible college is essential during this time when violence and political instability in Haiti make it dangerous for both teachers and students to attend in person.  We’re going to be collecting for this very purpose until the end of the year, and ALL $$ raised from Project Pie sales will help us to reach this goal.  Our Missions team is paying for the baking supplies and will match funds raised up to $3,000.

You can pre-order your pies by clicking here.

The last time we held Project Pie, pies sold out quickly, so place your order NOW.  The order form has additional information, including pie pickup dates and times.

You can pay for your pie(s) in several ways. Cash or check, made payable to NHPC. Checks can be mailed to 10058 Chamberlayne Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. Or you can pay via our online payment portal.  Note that your payment is for “Project Pie”.
