Church Work Day at New Hanover

Grab your tools and join us for our April Church Work Day

Our main goal of this work day is to do the demolition in the two office spaces that are to be updated.  Similar to the Rowe Room, we will be removing furniture, carpet, trim, ceiling grid, insulation, and  some wallpaper border.  There is also a bulletin board on one wall to be removed.  We are looking for ideas on reworking a closet area in the small office.  The end product will have flooring, ceiling grid and new windows like the Rowe Room, and we will update the lighting to LED.  Oh, and fresh, bright paint!

There are some outside tasks that can be started:

We installed some river rocks under trees in the back.  Unfortunately, the landscape company that did the work did not put fabric under the rocks and weeds have been a maintenance problem.  The church has tools and fabric that we can place under the rocks to make them more maintenance friendly.  There are 3 ornamental trees that would not be too involved to fix.

Several wonderful members have been toiling in the gardens up front.  They have mentioned that it would be a good fellowship and earth nurturing to get together on a regular basis to tend to our many gardens (16!)  This would be a great opportunity for that to kick off.

PLEASE LET STAN KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON HELPING OUT ON THE 26TH.
