The newly formed women’s group called Women of the Word, or WOW for short, will meet here in the Presseau Room on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:30pm. Join us for a short devotion and a project to work on for missions.
For our November project, we will be working with RVA Community Fridges , as part of our efforts to help our neighbors put food on their tables. This nonprofit organization operates and maintains 14 artful fridges and food pantries around RVA. Anyone can donate food and anyone can take what they need. We invite the NHPC community to prepare homemade food to stock their refrigerators.
Rules for food donation include: prepare your food using gloves and masks, label your food with the date of preparation, the ingredients, and any allergens such as peanuts or gluten. Drop off your food in the large NHPC kitchen on Tuesday Nov. 18 and the WOW women will divide and package the food into family servings and deliver it the next day. Contact the church office if you are dropping off items, to arrange for someone to be there.
Invite a friend!
